On September 6th Project Osmosis welcomed old friends and new ones to participate in our annual benefit held on UIC’s campus at 1240 W. Harrison. This year’s benefit, which carried the theme of “What If,” paid tribute to pioneer industrial designer Charles “Chuck” Harrison, by naming a student scholarship in his honor. Harrison was a former instructor at UIC, our partner in this year’s benefit. The recipient of the scholarship was an industrial design student, Byron Johnson. Other honorees of the night included leadership award winner, Phil Jackson who serves as the executive director of The Firehouse Community Arts Center; and Milea Robinson Wright of Milea GotCha Covered Events, recipient of the Community Award.
Participants enjoyed good food, good music and good conversation all while placing bids on a variety of silent auction items. The winning bids from the auction will go towards next year’s UIC Osmosis Charles Harrison Scholarshi
